Rev. Daniel Carlson, Senior Pastor

Rev. Daniel Carlson (Roy) was born in Cloquet, Minnesota in 1975.  He attended public school, and upon graduating in 1993, continued his education at the University of Minnesota.  In 1996 he moved to Nashville, Tennessee and served for 10 years as the Music Director at Emmanuel Lutheran Church (LCMS).  In the fall of 2005 he returned to school, pursuing a degree in Theology and music at Concordia University, Nebraska. 

Finally, in 2008, Pr. Carlson moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana and completed his education, earning his Masters of Divinity at Concordia Theological Seminary.

Pr. Carlson was called to Birmingham to serve as Senior Pastor of Hope Lutheran and also St. Paul Lutheran in the spring of 2013.  He has been with both churches, serving as a dual-parish pastor ever since.

Pr. Carlson is experienced in church worship and music, teaching children, youth, and adults, and also avails himself with automobile mechanics, computer technology, web design, and other hobbies, as he has time.  Pr. Carlson would LOVE to meet you in person, and looks forward to preaching you God’s Word.
